| Bo Xilai: China Will Provide Aid to the Disaster Countries |

On December 29, Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce met Lakshman Kadirgamar, Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, coming to visit on invitation.
Bo Xilai expressed sympathy and solicitude to Sri Lanka in the earthquake and tsunami in Indian Ocean for their losses. He said, after the disaster, Chinese Government decided to provide urgent humanitarian aid of 21.63 million yuan to the disaster countries. The goods and materials had already been transported to Colombo airport Sri Lanka this afternoon. The goods and materials will be transported to Indonesia this evening. Chinese Government is arranging the second batch of relief, including medicines, to the disaster-stricken countries.
Lakshman Kadirgamar said that Chinese Government helped a lot, and the government of Sri Lanka expressed the thanks for this.
The two sides exchanged views on preferential trade arrangement.
